As a local Silicon Valley real estate specialist, deal maker, and tough negotiator, my absolute fascination with real estate started when I was only 23 years old. During my first year in the Bay Area, after moving four times within that year, I purchased my first condominium in 1998 with my $29,000 yearly salary. This daring move inspired me to realize my passion as a REALTOR® in the real estate industry.

Real estate allows me to be a data geek economist, lifestyle trend analyst, a dynamic strategist, and creative thinker. As one of the top producers in Santa Clara County, I have enjoyed completing hundreds of transactions in every property type and all neighborhoods. I love finding the right deals and creating unique selling strategies for each property to get top dollar for all of my clients.

I sell $25 – $30million dollars yearly in real estate consistently since 2013, I have been ranked in the top 1% of producing real estate agents at Intero Real Estate prior to moving to Astute Real Estate in 2014. I have sold 100% of my listings so far, with 85% of my business being referral-based. In 2016 and 2017 I ranked in top 250 producing agents in Silicon Valley Area.

ABOUT KAREN XU

my personal roots

I was born in North Eastern China, in Changchun, Jilin province. I am the oldest of my parents’ two daughters. Known to be the more “independent” and “difficult” child growing up, I left home at the age of 13 to attend boarding school. At the age of 18, despite my parents’ strong objection, I quit local college and left China to become a waitress at a five star hotel in Dubai, UAE. Later on, I left Dubai to attend a prestigious hotel school in Switzerland. After graduation, I was accepted to Washing State University to obtain my first bachelor’s degree. I moved to the Bay Area to start my working career after graduating from WSU. Since Ieaving China, I have travelled extensively in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and US. My extensive international travel experience has given me the opportunity to understand the unique cultures and different backgrounds of many people, thus allowing me to gain the knowledge necessary in dealing with diversity in the real estate industry.
